Description:

This course will look at necessary writing skills for social workers beyond the case note. Ethical writing utilizing the current NASW Code of Ethics will be discussed. In addition, the course will touch on the role of AI tools such as ChatGPT and explore ethical considerations in this area.

Objectives:

As a result of this course, participants will be prepared to:

1. Demonstrate writing skills useful in a variety of social work practice areas.

2. Describe the role of the NASW Code of Ethics as relates to writing in social work.

3. Identify the pros and cons and ethical considerations in the use of AI tools in social work writing.

Format: Live Zoom (once registered you will find a link on the online event page)

CECHs: 3 Continuing Education Contact Hours. Meets Ethics Criteria.

Skill Level: Beginning and Intermediate
